北宋咸平四年(1001)分西川路置益州路，益州路治益州（成都市），领益州、眉山市、崇州市、彭州市、绵州、汉州、市中区、邛州、简州、黎州、雅州、茂州、维州、陵州和永康军。嘉祐四年(1059)升益州为成都府，益州路更名成都府路。
